Job Description
The Construction Superintendent oversees the day-to-day field execution of residential new pool construction and remodeling projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with company quality standards. This role coordinates field crews, subcontractors, inspections, materials, and project milestones while maintaining clear communication with customers and internal teams. The Superintendent is responsible for taking ownership of assigned projects, resolving field issues proactively, and ensuring projects meet quality, schedule, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day field operations for assigned new pool andremodel projects.
- Coordinate with the Project Coordinator and direct crews, subcontractors, and trade partners.
- Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, scope, and company standards.
- Maintain project schedules and coordinate upcoming construction activities with the Project Coordinator.
- Monitor jobsite progress and communicate updates, delays, and issues to the Project Coordinator and Field Operations Manager.
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections to ensure quality workmanship and proper construction practices.
- Coordinate inspections and ensure projects are ready for scheduled milestones.
- Identify potential construction issues and develop solutions in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper sequencing and coordination between trades.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites.
- Communicate with customers regarding project progress, upcoming work, and jobsite expectations when appropriate.
- Review completed work and identify deficiencies or punch-list items.
- Coordinate corrections and ensure work is completed properly before moving to the next phase.
- Document project progress, jobsite conditions, and construction issues.
- Work closely with Project Coordinators, Managers, Field Operations Management, crews, and subcontractors.
- Help maintain accountability for schedule, quality, workmanship, and jobsite performance.
- Support final project completion, punch lists, inspections, and customer turnover.
New Pool Construction Responsibilities
Candidates should have knowledge of the construction process and sequencing for:

- Equipment installation
- Interior finishes

- Pool startup and completion
- Remodel Construction Responsibilities
Experience with pool remodels is strongly preferred, including:
- Interior finish replacement
- Tile and coping replacement
- Decking and hardscape
- Equipment upgrades
- Plumbing modifications
- Structural repairs
- Pool renovations
- Water features
- Demolition and remodel sequencing
- Managing unforeseen field conditions
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of construction experience, preferably in swimming pool construction, remodeling, residential construction, or a related trade.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and jobsite coordination.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and scopes of work.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction practices and plan review.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
- Comfortable working outdoors and visiting multiple jobsites throughout the Phoenix area.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
