Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Service Roofing Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating the condition of residential and commercial roofs, identifying damage, diagnosing leaks, and recommending appropriate repair or replacement solutions. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of roofing systems, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
    Conduct Inspections: Perform thorough physical inspections of steep-slope and low-slope roofing systems.Diagnose Issues: Identify roofing defects, wind/hail damage, rot, weathering, and active leaks.Document Findings: Take clear photographs and maintain detailed digital inspection logs.Create Estimates: Provide accurate measurements and generate repair or replacement cost estimates.Client Communication: Explain inspection results, damage reports, and solution options clearly to property owners.Insurance Liaison: [Optional] Meet with insurance adjusters on-site to review property damage and assist with claims.Quality Control: [Optional] Inspect completed projects to ensure work meets company standards and local building codes.
Qualifications & Skills
    Experience: 2+ years of experience in roofing installation, inspection, or project management.Physical Ability: Comfortable climbing tall ladders, walking on high/steep roofs, and working in various weather conditions.Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of various roofing materials (asphalt shingles, metal, tile, TPO, EPDM).Certifications: HAAG Certification or prior insurance adjusting experience is highly preferred but not required.Technology: Proficiency using smartphones, digital cameras, and estimation software (e.g., Xactimate, Roofr, Hover).License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
