Technician I in Colonial Heights, Virginia at Ground Water Treatment

Ground/Water Treatment & Technology, LLC (GWTT) is a leading environmental contractor located in Colonial Heights, VA. We offer design/build services for temporary and permanent treatment systems, and operation and maintenance services for a variety of soil, groundwater, and wastewater treatment systems. GWTT provides construction, dewatering, remediation, and environment construction services.

We have an exciting Full-Time opportunity in our shop for the right individual to join our growing team!

General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Routine maintenance of equipment
• Operate fork truck and telehandler
• Basic assembly with use of hand tools
• Load/unload trucks of materials receiving
• Clean, power wash, restock material, etc.
• General shop and yard housekeeping – sweep, clean common areas, empty trash cans, snow removal, yard maintenance etc.
• Pickup and delivery of materials, as necessary
• Equipment delivery with use of rack truck
• Have a construction background (plumbing, carpentry helpful)
• Travel within the area may be required
• Able to work overtime when needed. Weekend work on occasion.
• Support office manager

Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record and must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Some experience in the environmental field is preferred although we are willing to train the right individual who is dependable, self-motivated, a team player and goal oriented.

OSHA 40-hour training is preferred but will be provided to the right candidate.
