STRATEGIC ACCOUNT MANAGER II
Position Summary: Retain top customers and nurture those key relationships over time. Become a strategic partner and advisor to the customer, discovering new opportunities to work together for mutual benefit. Our ideal candidate is able to identify customer needs and passionate about exceeding client expectations.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $155,000 + sales incentive program
What you will do as a Strategic Account Manager II:
- Develop and maintain strategic long-term trusting relationships with high volume clients to accomplish organic growth and long-term company objectives
- Ensure that each customer uses OSS as their primary source of material
- Be the lead point of contact for all key customer matters, anticipate customer needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for the client are met, and help the client succeed.
- Utilize company resources to develop and implement strategic solutions to achieve key customers long-term goals.
- Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics
- Meeting all client needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines
- Develop strong supplier relationships, negotiate with vendors to obtain orders, meet schedules and enhance profitability.
- Responsible to coordinate and track all customer issues/asks and ensure they are completed in a timely manner and communicated to the customer.
- Promote and sell the people, products, and services of OSS
- Establish and maintain a consistent call schedule based upon the profitability and future potential of assigned accounts
- Develop good working relationships with all specialists and support personnel. Coordinate and plan with all other specialists (digital, lighting, gear, energy, wire & cable, automation, tools and safety) to ensure the customer is receiving the information and services needed in a timely fashion
- Coordinate the efforts of the Credit department by obtaining the accounts receivable goals of the organization
- Keep abreast with industry and market trends and best practices
- Prospect for new accounts as applicable
- Introduce and demonstrate new products to client
- Analyze changes in market conditions as they apply to the territory
- Engage in after-work customer entertainment

Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
- Electrical, Industrial and/or distribution experience preferred but not required
- Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) from a 4-year college or University; or
- 5 - 7 years' of related experience and/or training; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
