Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Controls Coordinator/Professional to support project planning, scheduling, cost management, and reporting activities. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with established performance metrics.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and update project schedules using scheduling software
Monitor project progress and performance against baseline plans
Perform cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis
Prepare and distribute regular project status reports and dashboards
Identify potential risks, delays, and cost overruns; recommend corrective actions
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather project data
Establish and maintain project controls procedures and standards
Track project milestones, deliverables, and critical path activities
Conduct earned value management (EVM) analysis
Maintain document control and project filing systems
Support change management processes and track scope changes
Participate in project planning meetings and reviews
Analyze trends and provide insights to improve project performance
Assist with project closeout and lessons learned documentation
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field
5-10 years of experience in project controls, planning, or scheduling
Proficiency with project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.)
Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
Experience with cost control and budget management
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Professional certification (PMI-SP, PSP, CCP, or similar)
Experience with earned value management (EVM)
Knowledge of [specific industry] projects
Familiarity with risk management techniques
Experience with business intelligence/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Understanding of contract administration
