We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Communications Specialist to develop and execute strategic communications that strengthen stakeholder engagement and support organizational priorities. The ideal candidate will have 6–8 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, internal communications, content development, or a related field. IT communications experience is a plus.

This role requires an excellent writer and communicator who can translate complex information into clear, compelling messaging across multiple channels. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with leadership, cross-functional teams, and internal partners to deliver high-quality communications aligned with the organization's goals and brand voice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute internal communications strategies and campaigns.
  • Write, edit, and proofread a wide range of communications, including executive messages, press releases, newsletters, articles, presentations, talking points, website content, and reports
  • Partner with senior leaders and subject-matter experts to develop clear and compelling messaging.
  • Manage internal communications channels, including employee newsletters, intranet content, email communications, and town-hall materials.
  • Develop content for digital and social media platforms while maintaining consistent brand voice and messaging.
  • Coordinate communications projects from planning through execution, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Support crisis and issues communications, including message development and rapid-response materials when needed.
  • Measure and report on communications effectiveness using relevant metrics and analytics.
  • Collaborate with communications and IT leads to effectively communicate clear objectives to key internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain communications calendars, editorial plans, messaging frameworks, and content libraries.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and other communications partners as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and must be willing and able to pass a government background check. (Public Trust)
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or a related discipline.
  • 6–8 years of progressive experience in communications, public relations, corporate communications, content strategy, or a related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to write for diverse audiences and communication channels.
  • Experience developing communications for senior executives and leadership teams.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Experience with digital communications, social media, content-management systems, and common productivity tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound editorial judgment.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in technology, healthcare, government, or other complex organizational environments.
  • Experience supporting executive communications and thought leadership.
  • Public relations or media-relations experience.
  • Familiarity with communications analytics and reporting tools.
  • Experience with crisis communications or change-management communications.
  • Knowledge of AP Style or another recognized editorial style guide.
  • Experience working with agencies or external communications consultants.

The pay range for this role is:
86,000 - 110,000 USD per year(LMD HQ)
