Job Description

Senior Manager, Global Deal Desk

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Global Deal Desk based in United States.

This is a highly visible commercial operations leadership role focused on building a scalable Deal Desk function from the ground up.
You’ll guide complex, strategic, and non-standard SaaS transactions while helping sales teams move opportunities forward efficiently.
The role sits at the intersection of Sales, Finance, Legal, Revenue, Customer Success, and Business Systems.
You’ll establish the frameworks, workflows, approval structures, and service levels that bring consistency to commercial decision-making.
You’ll also influence pricing, packaging, contract terms, ARR economics, renewals, and quote-to-cash processes.
As a hands-on builder, you’ll balance strategic leadership with detailed involvement in high-impact transactions and process improvements.
The opportunity is ideal for a commercially minded operator who can create structure in a growing organization without adding unnecessary friction.

Accountabilities
  • Build and scale the Deal Desk operating model, including engagement criteria, approval frameworks, workflows, policies, playbooks, escalation paths, and service-level commitments.
  • Define when Deal Desk involvement is required based on deal complexity, pricing exceptions, commercial risk, and non-standard requirements, while allowing standard transactions to move efficiently through established sales processes.
  • Establish the initial engagement criteria, approval matrix, and published service-level commitments within the first 180 days for cross-functional ratification.
  • Serve as the commercial quarterback for complex, strategic, and exception-based SaaS transactions, coordinating Sales, Legal, Finance, Revenue, Customer Success, and Business Systems.
  • Review deal structures, pricing, discounts, products, billing requirements, contracts, and non-standard commercial terms against established commercial policies.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies across quotes, contracts, purchase orders, CRM records, and billing requirements.
  • Coordinate commercial exceptions and facilitate approvals through the appropriate cross-functional approval matrix, ensuring decisions are properly documented and escalated when thresholds are exceeded.
  • Partner with Legal on non-standard agreements and support Sales when customer requirements fall outside standard processes.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations on compensation and quota-crediting implications of non-standard transactions before commercial terms are finalized.
  • Partner with Revenue, Finance, and Customer Success to maintain accurate ARR, deal economics, and commercial data across new business, renewals, expansions, contractions, and amendments.
  • Establish controls and data standards with Sales Operations and Business Systems to ensure approved commercial terms are accurately reflected in Salesforce and support forecasting, billing, and revenue processes.
  • Own Deal Desk and exception workflows within RevCloud, including approval routing, exception intake, quote review queues, automation, and workflow optimization.
  • Define business requirements and controls for Salesforce and RevCloud enhancements while operating within shared platform governance.
  • Identify and lead process improvements and automation opportunities that increase efficiency, data quality, transparency, and visibility throughout the quote-to-cash lifecycle.
  • Support Sales with complex procurement requirements, documentation, purchase-order issues, and other customer-specific execution challenges.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex commercial issues requiring cross-functional resolution and continuously improve the Deal Desk function as products, markets, and commercial models evolve.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Commercial Operations, Finance, or a related function, including at least 3 years of Deal Desk experience within B2B SaaS.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex SaaS transactions involving pricing, contracts, renewals, amendments, discounts, and non-standard commercial arrangements.
  • Proven track record of building or significantly scaling a Deal Desk or comparable commercial operations function.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS quote-to-cash processes, pricing and discount structures, ARR, renewals, expansions, contractions, amendments, and broader commercial economics.
  • Strong Salesforce expertise, with RevCloud or comparable CPQ/deal-management experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to create scalable processes, governance frameworks, and operating structures in an evolving business environment.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including experience leading cross-functional systems implementations and process transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, facilitate decisions, and drive accountability without relying on direct reporting authority.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, analytical, and business judgment skills, combined with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable moving between strategic planning and hands-on review of complex transactions when business needs require it.
  • Commercially minded and highly collaborative, with the ability to balance customer needs, sales velocity, financial discipline, legal requirements, and business risk.
  • Experience structuring government contracts or transactions involving K-12 organizations is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is advantageous.
Benefits
  • Remote-first working environment.
  • Flexible paid time off.
  • Workplace flexibility designed to support work-life balance.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • 11 paid holidays per year.
  • Affordable medical, dental, and vision coverage, with employee-only medical coverage fully paid.
  • 401(k) employer contribution to support long-term financial planning.
  • Company-paid life insurance.
  • Company-paid short-term disability and long-term disability coverage.
  • Pet insurance.
  • Opportunities to collaborate with experienced, cross-functional teams in a mission-driven SaaS environment.
  • Exposure to leadership, mentorship, innovation, and opportunities for professional growth.
