Job Description
LaborMax Staffing is hiring Product Sampling Representatives for a Costco grand opening event in the Kansas City metro, October 29-31, 2026. This is short-term, paid event work through LaborMax Staffing.
SHIFTS AVAILABLE
Thursday, October 29: 40 associates, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM; 40 associates, 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM
Friday, October 30: 25 associates, 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Saturday, October 31: 25 associates, 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM
WHAT YOU WILL DO
On arrival you meet the Costco Demo Services (CDS) manager, who assigns you a food or drink sampling demo or another task for the day. The job is to create a good experience for members during the grand opening, so you should be willing to take on whatever is reasonably asked. Reps take a 30-minute unpaid lunch break; the CDS team tells you when to break and when to return.
REQUIREMENTS
Attendance and punctuality are critical for this event.
Food handler's certification. This can be completed online for about $10. The cost is not reimbursed.
Dress code: black dress pants, black long-sleeved collared shirt, closed-toe NON-SLIP shoes. An apron and hat are provided.
No necklaces, earrings or facial piercings. A wedding band is the only jewelry allowed. All tattoos must be covered. No long nails or nail polish.
Phones are not allowed on the floor, per CDS policy.
The store may ask anyone to leave who arrives late, is in the wrong attire, or is not friendly with members.
