Job Description

Job Overview

RIP-IT Sports is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting and administrative finance functions for our business. This role will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, expense tracking, and general bookkeeping tasks.

This position is ideal for someone with solid bookkeeping experience who enjoys accuracy, organization, consistency, and working as part of a small, collaborative team. The Bookkeeper will work closely with leadership and/or accounting partners to help ensure financial records are accurate, timely, and well-maintained.

This is a stable, clearly defined role with consistent hours and a manageable long-term workload.

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices, approvals, coding, and payment preparation.
  • Support accounts receivable functions, including customer invoicing, payment posting, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
  • Enter and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts as assigned.
  • Maintain organized accounting files, vendor records, customer records, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with expense tracking, receipt management, and credit card coding.
  • Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entry support, and account review.
  • Assist with inventory, fixed asset, or cost tracking as needed.
  • Provide reports and information to leadership or external accounting partners as requested.
  • Support year-end reporting, audit requests, tax documentation, and other accounting projects as needed.
  • Perform other bookkeeping and administrative finance duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of bookkeeping, accounting support, or related finance experience.
  • Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping procedures.
  • Experience using NetSuite, or a similar system.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including basic formulas, sorting, filtering, and data review.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling financial and employee information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively while also managing assigned tasks independently.
  • Ability to reliably work onsite in Orlando, FL.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a product-based, inventory, retail, wholesale, distribution, or e-commerce business.
  • Familiarity with purchase orders, vendor management, inventory transactions, or sales tax support.
  • Experience supporting month-end close activities.
  • Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

Education

  • Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Completion of bookkeeping, accounting, or business coursework required.
  • An equivalent combination of relevant education, bookkeeping certification, accounting training, and hands-on experience may be considered.

This Role Is a Great Fit If You Are

  • A detail-oriented bookkeeper who enjoys keeping financial records clean, accurate, and organized.
  • Comfortable handling transaction-level accounting work, including AP, AR, reconciliations, expense coding, and documentation.
  • Someone who values structure, consistency, and clearly defined responsibilities.
  • Experienced enough to work independently on assigned tasks, while still comfortable collaborating with leadership, accounting partners, and other team members.
  • Comfortable working onsite and being part of the day-to-day rhythm of a small department.
  • Organized, dependable, and able to meet deadlines without needing constant follow-up.
  • Interested in supporting a product-based business where accuracy, follow-through, and teamwork matter.
  • Looking for a stable, long-term bookkeeping role with consistent expectations and a manageable workload.

This Role Is Not a Fit If You Are

  • Looking for a remote or hybrid role.
  • Seeking a senior-level accounting, Controller, or CFO-track position.
  • Looking to fully own the accounting function without oversight.
  • Uncomfortable with detailed transaction-level work.
  • Uncomfortable working onsite in a small-team environment.
  • Prefer a large corporate accounting department with highly segmented responsibilities.

Why Work With Us

RIP-IT Sports offers the opportunity to be part of a collaborative company with a strong brand and a supportive team environment. This role provides consistent hours, clearly defined responsibilities, and a manageable workload for someone who enjoys reliable, detail-oriented bookkeeping work in an on-site setting.
