FLSA Status: Exempt POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for coordinating Indiana Historical Society’s (IHS) digital communications channel
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Wrist & Visual Stamina – Ability to type and focus on a computer screen for prolonged periods of time
(Incumbent must be able to meet physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations. Reasonability of requested accommodation is to be determined by IHS on a case-by-case basis, in accordance with the ADA.)

Applicable degree or equivalent work experience

This position is responsible for coordinating Indiana Historical Society’s (IHS) digital communications channel
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate posts and monitor day-to-day activity on IHS social media channels, working in tandem with internal and external partners on editorial calendars and content.
- Create and coordinate distribution for IHS recurring and one-time emails.
- Coordinate addition and publishing of web content on IHS site with internal and external partners.
- Work with internal and external partners to coordinate use and provide data reporting.
- Provide editorial assistance for IHS printed and digital collateral (e.g. INPerspective, IHS’s monthly member magazine).
- Assist Vice President, Marketing and Sales with on-site media and influencer visits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Understanding of and experience with social media and website platforms
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office suite as well as basic office equipment..
- Awareness of contemporary events and issues.
- Ability to exercise excellent customer service and teamwork.
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks, meet specific deadlines, and follow tasks through to completion.
- Understanding of branding, identity development and execution through a cohesive look/feel for all IHS materials.
- Knowledge of the appropriate writing styles and techniques for specific projects assigned.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.
