The Role

The Super Utility Technician is responsible for a wide variety of GMP Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) cleaning to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment to meet or exceed all regulatory requirements defined in current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).


WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Perform and maintain current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) product and quality safety through the cleaning and sanitation of processing equipment, and the facility.
  • Participate in required training on the use of sanitization, disinfectants and equipment and apply required usage.
  • Understand chemical safety and handling procedures including appropriate dilution and usage and use the chemicals according to those standards.
  • Empty, clean and remove all waste receptacles from the premises to designated area, damp wipe, sanitize and disinfect receptacles. Waste may be recyclables, perishables, and biohazard materials.
  • Vacuum and sanitize floors, drains, walls, ceilings, and shelves utilizing appropriate tools, including but not limited to, mops, vacuums, disinfectants, and specialty equipment.
  • Perform record keeping and data tracking following Good Documentation Practices (GDP); adhere to the designated sanitation schedule.
  • Sanitize and clean machines and machine parts using chemicals, manually, with high pressure hoses, spraying and/or scrubbing.
  • Clean under tacky mats and/or change them, as needed.
  • Adhere to all sanitation and disinfection procedures to ensure compliance with SOP requirements and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) cleaning standards.
  • Practice Good Documentation Practices (GDP) with cleaning times, chemicals dates and Lot numbers, following client SOPs.

What It Takes To Be Successful
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, custodial, or other customer facing role required.
  • 1+ year in a GMP/cleanroom environment (manufacturing, aerospace, pharmaceutical, etc.) preferred.
  • Customer service oriented and professional.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized and excellent record-keeping abilities.
  • Read, write, and communicate in English sufficiently to understand operating procedures, label instructions for handling chemical cleaners and solvents, and SDS sheets.
  • Climb ladders/stairs and use hands to assemble/disassemble equipment for cleaning.
  • Display continuous improvement; communicate and/or make periodic changes to increase the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of business operations with a focus on safety and quality for self and others.
  • Demonstrated willingness to ensure routine work gets done and can adjust to the unexpected with limited or no supervision. Act with urgency and deliver results.
  • A solid understanding of the importance of effective recordkeeping, following procedures and communication.
  • No make-up, nail polish, and/or jewelry may be worn in the GMP process areas.
  • Must wear required and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (i.e., bunny suit, protective eye wear, hearing protection, hair/beard net, uniforms, safety shoes and gloves) in accordance with SOPs.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 lbs.
