About the Role
A dynamic and experienced Vice President of Brand Marketing to lead our one our top care brands. The VP will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness, increase market share, and ultimately grow revenue. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in brand management, marketing strategy, and a passion for the beauty industry.
This role works 3 – 4 days from our Santa Monica offices.
What You will Do:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets
- Create impactful and innovative marketing programs, with a comprehensive 360 approach
- Partner with NPD to identify white space and opportunities, collaborate on product concept and new developments and drive product innovation, including new product development, packaging design, and formulation enhancements
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including education, trade, digital and sales to develop effective go-to-market plans and promotional campaigns to support product launches and drive sell-through
- Drive and Lead Go-To-Market launch plans for New Products and Key Campaigns
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify key trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape within the professional beauty industry
- Analyze and evaluate brand performance, marketing initiatives, leveraging data and analytics to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement
- Generate sales-driving ideas and concepts to support key categories and best-sellers
- Oversee the development of marketing collateral, including advertising, POS materials, digital assets, and educational content for salon professionals
- Gatekeeper of the brand architecture, quality cues, brand values and key messaging
- Manage and provide all cross functionals and international partners with the key branding elements and brand style guides
- Develop content strategy and manage all Brand assets (Photoshoots, key campaigns, branded assets)
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in brand marketing and the beauty industry, providing recommendations for innovation and adaptation
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
Required Qualifications:
Skills:
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Applications (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Proficient in marketing software (i.e., Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
- Highly proficient in design copy and general marketing guidelines
- Highly proficient in brand development and multichannel marketing concepts
- Proficient in creative process, marketing, graphic design, and brand development
- Ability to analyze market trends, anticipate opportunities and develop strategic insights
- Ability to drive, influence and collaborate across numerous functional areas
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to manage and mentor a team
- Strong communication and decision-making abilities
- Strong creative thinking and leadership
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Ability to safely use AI tools
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in brand management, marketing strategy, or product marketing within the beauty or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, preferably pro beauty
- 5+ years ‘experience in a leadership capacity, with strong knowledge of people management

Competitive Compensation:
- The expected base salary range for this position is $220,000 to $250,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including geographic location, experience, skills, and education.
- Discretionary Bonus Plan: This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
