This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Site/Civil Project Manager - Energy Group based in United States.
Lead complex energy and infrastructure projects from initial planning through final delivery in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. In this role, you will take ownership of project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risk, quality, and client satisfaction. You will serve as a trusted point of contact for utility, energy, and infrastructure clients while coordinating engineering, design, GIS, survey, environmental, permitting, and construction support teams. Your leadership will help ensure projects meet technical, financial, and business objectives while delivering meaningful value to clients. You will also contribute to business development, client growth, and the continued development of project management capabilities. - Lead energy-related projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client requirements.
- Develop and manage project work plans, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts, and project documentation.
- Monitor project performance and proactively identify, communicate, and resolve risks, issues, and potential schedule impacts.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, design, GIS, survey, environmental, permitting, and construction support functions.
- Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards and client expectations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with utility, energy, and infrastructure clients while serving as the primary point of contact for assigned projects.
- Lead project status meetings and communicate project progress, risks, decisions, and key developments to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to expand services and support long-term client relationships and growth initiatives.
- Manage project budgets, profitability, invoicing, forecasts, labor utilization, subcontractor costs, and overall financial performance.
- Review project performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Support contract administration, change order management, scope negotiations, and related commercial activities.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between project teams, clients, leadership, and business stakeholders.
- Mentor and support developing project managers, engineers, and technical professionals.
- Promote accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement across project teams.
- Collaborate with market, program, and discipline leaders to align project execution with broader business objectives.
- Support proposals, staffing plans, project budgets, client presentations, project pursuits, and strategic growth initiatives within the energy market.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of project management experience supporting energy, utility, civil infrastructure, engineering, or related projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing project schedules, budgets, client communications, resources, risks, and deliverables.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, financial management, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, technical teams, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build consensus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to identify project risks early, drive resolution, and adapt independently to changing project demands.
- Strong business acumen and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
- Experience with electric utilities, transmission and distribution, renewable energy, natural gas, substations, pipelines, or similar infrastructure is preferred.
- Experience using Deltek Vantagepoint, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or comparable project management tools is beneficial.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and infrastructure teams is preferred.
