POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented, bilingual (English/Spanish) Receiver to join our El Paso warehouse team. This role has a primary focus on door hardware and a working knowledge of cabinet components, along with general knowledge across the doors and millwork industry. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that supports inbound material flow, proper identification, labeling, staging, and verification of all received goods.

The ideal candidate knows door hardware components (hinges, locks, strikes, closers, exit devices, thresholds, etc.), can identify cabinet parts and cabinet hardware, has a disciplined eye for detail, and can work independently while helping train newer team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately receive, inspect, and document all inbound door hardware, cabinet components, and related millwork materials

• Cross-reference deliveries with purchase orders and packing slips in Agility (or related ERP)

• Verify cabinet components against cut lists, job/unit labels, and box counts, including case parts, doors, drawer fronts, drawer boxes, end panels, fillers, toe kicks, and sheet goods

• Inspect cabinet components for finish damage, edge banding defects, chipped corners, and moisture or shipping damage

• Identify and receive cabinet hardware, including concealed/euro hinges, drawer slides, pulls, knobs, and shelf supports

• Identify and label material with part numbers, descriptions, and project allocation as needed

• Participate in second-party verifications and QC check-in processes per SOP

• Communicate discrepancies, shortages, or damage immediately to Purchasing and escalate per RMA protocols

• Stock inventory in appropriate bin locations or designated staging areas

• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment

• Maintain clean, safe, and organized receiving areas

• Assist in training newer receivers on process and product identification

• Communicate effectively in English and Spanish with drivers, vendors, and team members

• Support cycle counting, physical inventory, and process improvement initiatives

• Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• High school diploma or GED required

• 2+ years of receiving or warehouse experience required; experience in doors, hardware, cabinets, or millwork strongly preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required, both spoken and written

• Strong familiarity with door hardware types and terminology (commercial and residential)

• Working knowledge of cabinet components and cabinet hardware

• Ability to read and interpret BOMs, cut lists, cut sheets, and vendor documentation

• Basic computer skills and experience with ERP/inventory systems (Agility a plus)

• Forklift certification preferred, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

• Comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs and standing/moving throughout the shift

• High attention to detail and pride in accuracy and accountability

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level is usually loud. The employee may be exposed to hazardous chemicals in the workplace.

Frontier Door and Cabinet’s Safety Program and all established safety rules must be followed, and equipment used where required. This includes safety glasses and hearing protection. This position also requires the use of gloves and dust masks.
