A little bit about our hotel in Capel Curig
The Tyn-y-Coed hotel is nestled in the heart of North Wales and Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. It offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, comfortable accommodation, and delicious food and drink.
About the role
Paying up to £29,500 per year
We’re looking for a confident and motivated Deputy Hotel Manager to join the team at Hotel Tyn y Coed, supporting the Hotel Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences within a unique Zip World setting.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in hospitality, enjoys leading from the front, and is comfortable taking responsibility for the operation when required. You’ll play a key role in leading the hotel’s management structure and supporting departmental success.
What will you be doing?
Supporting the Hotel Manager with the day-to-day running of the hotel
Acting as Duty Manager, taking ownership of operations, guest experience, and decision-making
Providing direct line management to the Bar Manager, Head Housekeeper, and Front of House Supervisor
Supporting departmental leaders with training, performance management, rotas, and development
Leading teams across Front of House, Housekeeping, and Bar/F&B to ensure smooth daily operations
Ensuring consistently high standards of service, cleanliness, safety, and presentation
Managing guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery
Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing team development
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, fire safety, and company procedures
What will you need?
Previous supervisory or management experience within hospitality or accommodation
A confident people leader with experience managing or supporting department heads
Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm, professional, and guest-focused in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak trading periods
