MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT at LITTLE FLOWER MANOR INC – Darby, Pennsylvania

Little Flower Manor is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician with hands-on experience in one or more skilled trades such as painting, carpentry, basic plumbing, or electrical work. You do not need to be experienced in every area — but we are looking for someone who brings practical skill, good judgment, and pride in quality workmanship. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well-kept environment for our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free facility
• Perform routine maintenance on building systems, equipment, and grounds
• Complete basic repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
• Assist with room turnovers, minor renovations, and equipment moves
• Support fire safety and prevention measures; follow OSHA and life-safety regulations
• Participate in seasonal snow removal
• Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
• Participate in on-call rotation and occasional weekend coverage

• High School diploma or GED
• Experience in one or more of the following: carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical
• At least 2–5 years of maintenance experience in a facility, construction, or similar setting
• Strong verbal communication skills for reporting and discussing maintenance needs
• Clean valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 60 lbs or more
• Providing examples of prior work (photos, descriptions, or project summaries) is helpful and encouraged.
