Job Description
Title: Maintenance Technician
Type: Full Time
Work type: Onsite
Description
We are presently looking for a Full Time Maintenance Technician to add to our team. This individual will assist in the daily upkeep and maintenance of the multifamily building that we manage. You will assist in a variety of maintenance tasks including HVAC, plumbing and electrical repairs, painting, lock / key work as well as assist in addressing trash.
You should be a self-starter and be able to handle multiple functions while remaining professional with a practical mind and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality;
• Perform daily walk thru of assigned locations to ensure there are no maintenance issues (lights out, leaks, alarms, etc.);
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and ballasts, set timers, etc.);
• Perform other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.) and assist in general upkeep procedures (e.g. grounds clean up, spraying of weeds - as needed);
• Other duties as they arise
Skills
• Proven minimum 1 year experience as maintenance technician
• Basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems
• General knowledge of maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
• Good physical condition and strength with ability to lift a minimum 50lb, climb ladders and crawl through windows.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime and be part of the on-call schedule
• High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
• Ability to work with other members of our maintenance team
• Must have reliable transportation
