Accounting Assistant at Pride Delivery and Installation – Parma, Ohio

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting various accounting functions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The Accounting Assistant supports the work of all locations, provides financial and administrative support. Duties include handling various A/P, A/R, contractor payment transactions.
Duties:
- General accounting duties.
- Assist with data entry and transaction processing using accounting software to ensure precise record-keeping.
- Perform accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and account reconciliations.
- Calculate and enter payments.
- Update and maintain records/spreadsheets.
- Processes driver settlements and driver pay statements, maintains records.
- Confirms receipt of billed amounts.
- Responsible for invoicing, tracking invoices, and data entry.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in similar accounting role.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Open Force, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of GAAP standards to ensure accurate financial reporting and internal controls.
- Ability to perform high-volume data entry.
- Analytical skills for account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and financial statement review.
- Strong math skills combined with attention to detail for accurate account analysis and bookkeeping tasks.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and support audit processes.
