About this role:
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the health, integrity, and security of CNOB’s technical infrastructure. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of hardware and software assets—from procurement and configuration to maintenance and decommissioning. The successful candidate will ensure optimal system performance through proactive monitoring and expert troubleshooting in a hybrid cloud environment.
In this role you will:
- Support the Bank’s “People First” focus and rules of engagement—maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the CNOB team, providing all clients excellent service, always striving to make CNOB “A Better Place to Be”.
- Oversee the lifecycle of virtual infrastructure; including provisioning, resource allocation, and performance tuning.
- Manage and maintain Active Directory (AD) environments, ensuring the integrity of Group Policy Objects (GPO), DNS, and DHCP configurations.
- Maintain accurate inventory of company hardware and software including end-of-life units.
- Assist with development and engineering new or current systems to meet higher levels of performance demands.
- Virtual machine deployment, resource, and disk assignment. Monitor all proactively.
- Monitor and manage system and SQL backups to ensure Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) are strictly met; perform regular restoration testing and troubleshooting.
- Proactively identify and remediate security vulnerabilities by managing firmware updates, software versioning, and system-wide security patching.
- Plan and implement any improvement, modification, upgrades, or replacements of infrastructure components.
- Triage and troubleshoot complex end-user technical issues, ensuring all actions are meticulously documented within the ticketing system to maintain a searchable knowledge base.
- Strong “People First” interest and ability.
- Knowledge of equipment connectivity and networking.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure (compute, storage, and networking) and VMware vSphere.
- Proficiency in Active Directory, GPO, DNS, and internal security protocols.
- Knowledge of relevant Federal and State banking regulations.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in Systems Administration or a similar capacity.
- Customer service experience required.
- Excellent PC skills, proficiency in Server and Desktop Operating Systems.
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. and work in small areas.
- To support business needs, ability to work a flexible schedule is required.
