This role ensures materials and products are efficiently moved through the supply chain while maintaining high standards for accuracy, safety, and productivity. This role ensures materials and products are efficiently moved through the supply chain while maintaining high standards for accuracy, safety, and productivity. The Warehouse Manager leads a team of warehouse staff and works closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Ensure accurate tracking of raw materials, finished goods, and work-in-progress inventory. Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
- Hire, train, supervise, and develop warehouse staff. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure team members meet operational goals.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, work with carriers, and ensure on-time delivery of materials to production lines and customers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Implement and maintain warehouse best practices to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize waste.
- Prepare reports on inventory levels, productivity, order accuracy, and warehouse KPIs. Communicate regularly with senior management.
- Manage warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) and ensure proper maintenance and safety checks.
- Work closely with production, procurement, quality, and logistics teams to support manufacturing schedules and customer requirements.
- Must comply with the company’s safety policies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience preferred.
- Experience with inventory management systems (ERP or WMS software).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and documentation.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Forklift certification (preferred).
- Understanding of OSHA standards and warehouse safety regulations.
