Job Summary:

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Maintenance Technician I, for the Stoneridge Mountain Resort, Canmore, Alberta .

He/she is also responsible for participating in the preventative maintenance program, handling guest service requests, and other work orders as assigned. He/she is responsible for performing their job in a safe and efficient manner.

Essential Functions

Will handle routine maintenance in public spaces, guest units, pool and groundsCommunicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. Understand the room preventative maintenance programMaintains overall appearance of rooms, replace fixtures, touch up painting, Troubleshoots room heating/ventilation/air conditioning systemsMaintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Use both power and hand tools regularly in a safe, efficient mannerProficient in surface preparation, painting, drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb and A/C filter replacement. Clean-up painting or repair area in a professional manner. Clean tools & equipment and return them to their appropriate storage areas. Ensure all materials and equipment are stored properly.Must perform routine pool operations Maintains operating equipment in working condition by performing routine equipment checks and repairs Maintains and assists in the cleanliness of individual work areaActively engage and promote safety and safe work practices, interdepartmentally and hotel wide.Reports any hazards or injuries in the department and takes immediate action to correct Contributes to hotels preparedness during fire emergencies by participating in the hotel fire team Handles master keys in accordance with Company’s standards for the overall safety and security of the hotelTest, troubleshoot, and perform repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, and other guest room items. Display adequate computer skills; program TV's and door locks, repair and replace door locks, Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and always thank guests with genuine appreciation. Adhere to quality expectations and standards. Speak with others using clear and professional language.Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.The pay range for this positon is $23.00 to $24.00 per hour, based on experience or qualifications. Qualification Standards

Education & Experience:

Experience (1+ years) in hotel building systems or a hospitality related maintenance field preferred.High School diploma or equivalent required.Physical requirements:

Must be able to stand 5 hours per day. Sitting and bending, squatting and other motion are required the rest of the working day. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to taskMove, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance. Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stoopBenefits
