Red Flame Industries is looking for Leak Repair Technician I to repair various process leaks on live operating systems under pressure.


Job Title: Leak Repair Technician I

Required Qualifications:

  • Computer application knowledge is an asset (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent customer service practices
  • Excellent prioritizing, multi-tasking, and decision-making skills
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Grade 12 or equivalency diploma is an asset or at the discretion of Management
  • Physical and mental capability to perform in the field or shop
  • Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of IRATA training within 6 months of hire on date


Perform all duties as assigned by Senior Technician including, but not limited to, the following as needed:

  • Assist with assessing leaking component(s) and provide relevant information to supervisor and engineering
  • Communicate/Coordinate with plant personnel in a professional and respectful manner
  • Complete daily reports outlining the work activities and daily timesheets for all projects or activities
  • Basic use of the following measuring devices: Vernier calipers, OD calipers, ID calipers, circumference tape, measuring tape (able to read increments to 1/32), depth gauge, level, square, and angle finder
  • Possess the desire to learn the skills found in the leak repair skill register located at the end of this posting (the skills possessed will determine skill level and pay grade)
  • Take field measurements of leaking component (ability to sketch and properly dimension non-standard components is a must)
  • Remain physically fit enough to complete on Rope Access Technologies

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Learn and advance skills in all of the On-Line Services
  • Complete daily LEMs to capture all costs against the project
  • Follow project execution plans
  • Perform Field Level Risk Assessments and review with technician(s)
  • Perform site assessments/walkdowns/measure-ups, etc..
  • Receive/review site permits (once training is provided)
  • Report all near misses, incidents, etc. and participate in investigations under Management supervision
