About the Position:
The Pharmacy Technician, under the direct supervision of the licensed pharmacist, assists in the various activities of the Retail Pharmacy Department. The technician functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. This person will occasionally be scheduled at all retail pharmacy locations.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board).
- Extensive retail pharmacy technician experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Current registration with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy.

Riverwood is willing to sponsor training for the right candidate interested in pursuing a career as a Pharmacy Technician.
No pharmacy technician experience is required for this opportunity. Individuals selected for this position will receive hands-on experience while completing a state-approved Pharmacy Technician Training Program. The goal of the program is to successfully complete all training requirements and continue employment as a Riverwood Pharmacy Technician.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of registration.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must obtain Pharmacy Technician registration through the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy before beginning work.
- Must successfully complete a state-approved Pharmacy Technician Training Program within 12 months of registration.

Riverwood Healthcare Center is a 25-bed Critical Access hospital with three full-service clinics in Aitkin, McGregor, and Garrison. Riverwood has recently expanded its footprint in Aitkin with a state-of-the-art surgical center.

M-F 0830-1700, Sat 0830-1230. This position would usually work 4 days per week (Wed or Thurs off usually) and an occasional Saturday. This position would have opportunity to pick up extra shift in Garrison, Aitkin, McGregor occasionally.
FTE: 0.8 (64 hours PPP)
