Job Description

Trust Automotive Group is seeking a motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist based in Irvine, California, to support recruiting, onboarding, and general Human Resources functions across multiple dealership locations throughout Southern California. This position is responsible for full-cycle recruiting, including partnering with hiring team members and hiring managers, developing sourcing strategies, assist with screening applicants & coordinating interviews, preparing offers, and managing pre-employment and onboarding activities. The role will also assist with employee records, HR documentation, data entry, reporting, and other administrative HR tasks. Reporting to the Corporate Human Resources Director, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will build qualified talent pipelines, promote a positive candidate and new-hire experience, and support the staffing and HR needs of our growing dealership group.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist manages full-cycle recruiting for assigned dealership locations and positions. The role partners with hiring managers and Corporate HR Director to identify staffing needs, develops effective recruiting strategies, sources and screens candidates, coordinates interviews, prepares offers, and tracks candidates through the pre-employment and onboarding process. This position is expected to manage multiple open requisitions independently, maintain accurate recruiting records, and deliver a professional and consistent candidate experience.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-cycle recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, human resources, or related experience.
  • Experience recruiting for multiple positions or locations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience sourcing candidates through job boards, social media, professional networks, employee referrals, community partnerships, and direct outreach.
  • Ability to conduct applicant screenings and evaluate candidates based on job-related qualifications and established hiring criteria.
  • Experience partnering with hiring managers to define position requirements, establish recruiting priorities, and coordinate the selection process.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and California hiring practices, including equal employment opportunity, fair-chance hiring, reasonable accommodation, applicant privacy, and pay-transparency requirements.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, or recruiting technology; ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new recruiting systems and tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization, relationship-building, follow-up, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple open requisitions, meet deadlines, maintain accurate records, and protect confidential applicant information.
  • Experience recruiting for automotive dealerships, retail, hospitality, sales, service, skilled trades, or other high-volume environments preferred.
  • Ability to travel regularly among Southern California dealership locations and attend recruiting events as business needs require.
  • Bilingual skills preferred, but not required.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned dealership locations and positions, from requisition intake through accepted offer and pre-employment processing.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, preferred qualifications, hiring timelines, and selection criteria.
  • Draft and maintain accurate, appealing, and compliant job postings that reflect the position’s duties, qualifications, work location, and approved pay range.
  • Develop recruiting strategies for high-volume, specialized, difficult-to-fill, and time-sensitive positions.
  • Source active and passive candidates through job boards, social media, professional networks, employee referrals, direct outreach, community organizations, colleges, trade schools, and workforce-development partners.
  • Review applications and resumes, conduct initial phone or video screenings, and evaluate candidates using consistent, job-related criteria.
  • Present qualified candidates to hiring managers and provide timely updates regarding applicant status, recruiting challenges, and pipeline activity.
  • Assist with coordinate interviews, assessments, hiring-manager feedback, candidate communications, and follow-up throughout the selection process.
  • Prepare offer documentation, obtain required approvals, communicate employment terms, and support offer acceptance and pre-employment requirements.
  • Coordinate background checks, motor vehicle record reviews, employment verifications, and other applicable pre-employment steps after a conditional offer, subject to applicable law.
  • Assist with Human Resources and hiring managers to support a smooth transition from accepted offer through onboarding and orientation.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring dealership positions, including sales, service, parts, administrative, and management roles.
  • Develop relationships with colleges, trade schools, community organizations, professional associations, and workforce-development partners to expand recruiting sources.
  • Represent Trust Automotive Group at career fairs, recruiting events, school programs, and community outreach activities.
  • Maintain complete and accurate candidate records, interview notes, disposition reasons, offer information, and recruiting activity in the applicant tracking system or HRIS.
  • Track and report recruiting metrics, including open requisitions, candidate activity, source effectiveness, time to fill, offer acceptance, and hiring outcomes.
  • Promote a professional, responsive, and inclusive candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
  • Support hiring practices that comply with company procedures and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Identify recruiting process improvements and recommend tools, resources, or outreach strategies that strengthen hiring results and employer branding.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling candidate, compensation, and hiring information.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $71,000–$85,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications

Work Location: Irvine, California, supporting multiple dealership locations throughout Southern California. Regular travel to assigned dealership locations is required based on business needs. This is an on-site position; remote work is not available.
