Position Summary:
The UNM-Valencia Campus is seeking candidates for temporary,part-time faculty to teach 1000-2000 Level Biology Courses. This will bea continuous recruitment starting in the spring 2027 semester. The postingwill remain open, and applicants will be selected as needed per semester.

Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural ValenciaCounty, The University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branchcampus of The University of New Mexico which functions as a community collegein the region and is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With anemphasis on teaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transferprograms, technical programs, Adult Education, and Dual Credit courses to highschools in Valencia and Socorro Counties. The faculty and staff serve astudent body of over 2,000 students per semester.

• Master's degree in Biology, or Master's degree in related field and 18 graduate credit hours in Biology.
• One year experience teaching at a post-secondary institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PhD, ABD, or EdD in Biology or related field.
• Experience and/or certification to teach online.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching at a post-secondary institution.
• A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.
