Position Summary:
The Family Service Coordinator partners with families of eligible infants in the UNMH Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to coordinate services, facilitate IFSP development, connect families to community resources, and support positive developmental outcomes. This position promotes family engagement, informed decision-making, and access to services while ensuring compliance with New Mexico FIT Program standards and IDEA Part C regulations.

- Serve as the primary contact and trusted partner for families enrolled in the FIT Program.
- Build supportive relationships with families using a strengths-based, family-centered approach.
- Coordinate evaluations, assessments, IFSP meetings, and ongoing service delivery.
- Connect families with medical, educational, developmental, social, and community resources.
- Facilitate transition from hospital to community

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Family Studies, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Human Services, Nursing, Special Education, or a related field.
- Experience working with young children and families.
- Experience working in a NICU or other pediatric hospital setting
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience providing Early Intervention (IDEA Part C) services
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
