Network Support Specialist Position Summary

The Network Support Specialist provides installation, maintenance and on-going support of TidalHealth's voice, video and data networks. The support includes the main campus local area networks, wide area networks and all authorized entities. The Network Support Specialist also manages phone systems deployed throughout our health system campuses as well as remote offices.

Network Support Specialist Position Requirements

Education

• Associate’s Degree required or 3 years of experience maintaining an enterprise-wide, leading-edge voice, video, and data network in lieu of degree.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Experience

• Experience with network/telecommunications closets and physical network infrastructure required.
• Experience with Cisco Call Manager (CUCM) and its entire suite voice products and phone systems preferred.
• Experience with video conferencing systems is preferred.
• Experience with Avaya Phone systems and related products preferred.
• Experience with Mitel Phone systems and related products preferred.
• Experience with fiber optics, copper network cabling and wireless technology preferred.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred

Network Support Specialist Schedule

• Normal schedule is predominately day shift.
• Frequently required to work beyond normal end of shift.
• Occasional evening or weekends may be required during special projects or circumstances.
• Available for “on-call” as circumstances dictate.
• This position is critical to the operation of Peninsula Regional Medical Center and its physicians and patients.
• Person must be prepared to work whenever and as long as necessary to provide the required systems and services necessary for users to perform their responsibilities.
• Limited travel may also be required.

Network Support Specialist Benefits

• At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.
