Job Description
Starting Salary $105,000.00 (Negotiable upon Experience)
Basic QualificationsEducation/Training: Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field of study required. Formal credit training in CRE/C&I and Personal Cash Flow Analysis is preferred with a strong understanding of general credit and risk principles, mitigants, and banking policies/procedures.
Skill(s): Proficient in MS Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excellent writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong organizational skills with the ability to proactively manage and prioritize workflow; A thorough knowledge of current lending and loan review regulations and banking regulations, procedures, and operations; proficient ability to analyze and interpret financial statements: businesses, CRE and personal.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years' related experience required.
General Responsibilities
The Portfolio Manager II AVP will support the rapid growth generated by the Commercial Banking team. In this role you will be assigned a Commercial Lender and portfolio to analyze and maintain. You will also assist in achieving goals assigned to Commercial Lender as established in annual operating plan. Portfolios will consist of a mixture of CRE, C&I, Construction and SBA and range in dollar size from $150MM to $300+MM.
Essential Duties
- Manage an assigned portfolio of commercial customers with some oversight by Commercial Loan Officer.
- Maintains ongoing business relationships with present customers in order to provide a secondary Commercial Services contact and take advantage of additional cross-selling opportunities.
- Provide support and oversight of reporting for portfolio management (delinquency, problem loans, exceptions, tickler tracking etc.) as designated by VP, Senior Portfolio Manager and or CCO/CLOCoordinate collection, track and perform review of financial statements, tax returns, conditions/covenants.Coordinate and prepare modifications/renewals/extensions.Monitor assigned portfolio for early warning signs of financial weakness or other risks, and work with Commercial Loan Officer to develop an appropriate plan to discuss with VP, Senior Portfolio Manager, CCO and CLOPrepare, update, and maintain credit files, both paper and electronic.Prepare and underwrite new complex commercial loan transactions and/or requests for significant relationships in assigned portfolio.Provide credit recommendations to the appropriate level of credit administration.Serve as primary or secondary contact for customer support as deemed by Commercial Loan OfficerSupport Commercial Loan Officer with execution/collection of loan documents.Provide support for internal and external audits, loan review, compliance, and regulatory exams.Maintains a working knowledge of Bank operating policies and procedures which impact commercial services.Assists in achieving goals assigned to Commercial Lenders as part of the assigned department's annual operating plan.Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements.Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.Communicates with management and staff personnel in order to integrate goals and activities.Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from other Bank personnel, customers, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
