This senior EHR Services leader will own the strategy, delivery, and ongoing performance of the organization’s Epic revenue cycle application portfolio, including evaluation, implementation, optimization, and support. You will lead a team of application professionals and act as a trusted partner to operational and executive leadership, translating business goals into technology roadmaps, budgets, and investment proposals.

You will also help shape the broader application strategy, working alongside fellow IS leaders to deliver a unified, service-oriented department. Additional incentive compensation may be available.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as a core member of the senior IS leadership team, contributing to governance of the enterprise application portfolio.

• Partner with clinical, physician, and operational leaders, along with best-practice and governance groups, to develop and sustain application solutions that meet organizational needs.

• Ensure current and proposed system architectures support enterprise goals.

• Guide the design, build, and implementation of integrated, end-to-end software solutions.

• Track healthcare IT trends and emerging technologies to anticipate future needs.

• Advise the CIO, IT vice presidents, and executive leaders on technology direction, with regular written and in-person updates on projects and systems.

• Define, communicate, and enforce standards for systems, infrastructure, and software.

• Hire, coach, evaluate, and develop staff, including individual career-path planning.

• Establish application management policies and procedures that protect system integrity and availability.

• Oversee service level agreements with end-user departments through monitoring and performance management.

• Contribute to enterprise disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

• Respond quickly and constructively to emerging priorities and ad hoc needs.

• Comply with all IS policies and standards, including project management methodology, security requirements, and HIPAA privacy and security rules governing ePHI.

Requirements:

Required:

• 15+ years of experience in a healthcare delivery environment.

• 10+ years in management and leadership roles.

• Deep working knowledge of Epic, its revenue cycle modules, and supporting infrastructure.

• Hands-on experience with requirements gathering and business analysis.

• Proven background in systems, software, and integration design and development.

• Strong grasp of information processing principles, current systems software, protocols, and standards.

• Experience evaluating software and leading projects from planning through delivery.

• Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving ability.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas in plain language.

• Excellent architecture and technical documentation skills.

• Consultative, interpersonal, and collaborative leadership style.

• Ability to prioritize and perform in a high-pressure environment.

• Ability to research emerging technologies, standards, and products.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field.

Preferred:
