Patient Care Assistant

Casual Position

Scheurer Health, a critical access rural hospital, is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to work on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities:

• Follow Scheurer’s policies and procedures, participate in improving the patient and family experience.
• Provide basic patient care, and assistance to the nursing and physician staff as needed.
• Unit Clerk/Receptionist responsibilities during their shift.
• Assist outside clinical departments as needed.

Requirements:

• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• Complete a Certified Nursing Assistant course
• Valid CENA Certification
• Minimum one year’s experience as a CENA in a hospital environment
• Minimum one year of experience in a clerical position.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card.
