Life Sciences Lab Assistant - SC Students ONLY in Edmund, South Carolina at Stephens College

This student will perform multiple tasks as needed by Life Sciences faculty. This position will be paid a $2000.00/semester stipend. Fall semester: equal payments for September, October, November, and December. Spring semester: equal payments for January, February, March, April, and May. Stipends are paid on the monthly payroll and a payroll calendar will be provided during onboarding.

The candidate should be able to:

• Assist students and faculty with location of materials and resources
• Oversee special lab tasks or projects, at the direction of faculty
• Take initiative in processes or tasks that might improve lab efficiency
• Collaborate with faculty and other students on planning and procedures,
• Explain and demonstrate processes (or parts of processes) as assigned by faculty,
• Use available resources to research and prepare for labs or projects.
• Lift and move boxes and equipment within lab and building spaces.
