The Housekeeping Houseperson supports the resort’s housekeeping operation by maintaining an adequate supply of clean

linen, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies for housekeeping team members. This position helps maintain clean, orderly, and

welcoming guest corridors and assigned public areas throughout the resort, while responding promptly and courteously to guest

requests.

Core Responsibilities

• Clean guest hallways, corridors, and assigned resort public areas.
• Remove trash from hallway receptacles, housekeeping carts, and guest rooms, and transport it to the designated waste area.
• Vacuum guest hallways, elevators, carpet edges, and stairwells; clean elevators; and shampoo carpets or mop floors as needed.
• Clean and maintain assigned vending and refreshment areas, including ice, candy, and beverage machines.
• Dust and clean hallway fixtures and surfaces, including light fixtures, fire extinguisher cabinets, railings, and other assigned details.
• Collect soiled linen from housekeeping carts and transport it to the laundry area using appropriate laundry carts.
• Restock housekeeping carts with clean linen and supplies as needed by room attendants.
• Collect used guest-room glasses and deliver them to the designated dishwasher or cleaning area; return clean glasses to the appropriate supply area.
• Maintain organized storage areas and replenish guest amenities, linen, and cleaning supplies.
• Deliver guest-requested items promptly and courteously, with a target response time of ten (10) minutes when operationally feasible; retrieve loaned items after guest use.
• Inspect assigned rooms and public areas for cleanliness and promptly report any guest belongings left behind in accordance with resort procedures.
• Respond to spills, special guest requests, and other housekeeping needs; assist room attendants with room cleaning whe directed.
• Follow resort procedures for safe chemical handling, equipment use, waste disposal, and the protection of guest privacy and property.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the housekeeping department and resort operations.

• Uses sound judgment and follows established procedures when handling found property, guest requests, and housekeeping supplies.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, including extended periods.
• Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and stretch to complete cleaning and stocking tasks.
• Lift and carry approximately thirty (30) pounds of equipment or supplies on and off a cart using safe lifting techniques.
• Push and maneuver loaded carts weighing approximately one hundred (100) pounds, with appropriate care and assistance when needed.
• Perform tasks requiring grasping, writing, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening, hearing, and visual ability.
• Communicate effectively in person and in writing.

Full-Time Position: Must be available to work Sunday through Thursday. Scheduling needs may fluctuate based on business demands, so flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing hours are essential.
