Sandis is currently looking for an Asset and Safety Manager to join our team at our Campbell Office. This position will be responsible for managing and maintaining company assets and equipment, as well as establishing, implementing, and enforcing safety programs. Cool stuff you get to do:
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to minimize workplace injuries and accidents across CA, CO, and WA operations.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, Cal OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA regulations across all regions.
- Oversee safety inspections for field, office, and equipment.
- Lead investigations for incidents, near misses, and equipment/assets damage; implement corrective actions and coordinate insurance claims as needed.
- Create, deliver, and track safety training; including monthly safety meetings.
- Maintain safety documents, records, certifications, safe driving checklists, and incident logs.
- Provide oversight and direction for asset tracking, purchasing, maintenance, and compliance activities.
- Manage company vehicles and equipment; including acquisition, replacements, utilization, inventory, assignment, tracking, budgets, expenses, insurance, and maintenance.
- Maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers.
- Mentor, coach, and communicate with team members to make sure delegated tasks and company goals are understood.
- Collaborate with project managers, department heads, HR, leadership and field staff to continuously improve safety.
What will help you be successful:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in workplace health and safety, active construction jobsites, or safety coordination, including 2+ years in a supervisory or lead capacity; experience in fleet or asset administration strongly preferred.
- OSHA10, OSHA30, or CSP certificate preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EHS compliance platforms; working knowledge of BarCloud, fleet/telematics software, and IT asset lifecycle processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organized, and problem-solving skills.
