SPECIALIST CREDENTIALING at Decatur County Memorial Hospital – Greensburg, Indiana

Executive Director Revenue Cycle

Responsible for ensuring the timely processing of DCMH staff privilege applications and the timely credentialing of all participating insurance payers, including Medicare/Medicaid revalidations of hospital entities and providers. Credentialing of IGT entities to become contracted with DCMH payers. Acts as point of contact for billing/contract issues for Patient Accounts and IGT entities. Processes information requests, including affiliation verifications and running reports for other departments containing provider-specific data information. Monitoring of provider licensures and certifications for timely renewals. Prepares Medical Executive Committee meeting agendas and distribution of meeting materials and initial applications prior to meetings. Responsible for billing and collection of Initial application fees and annual Medical Staff Dues. Performs clerical functions as needed.

Standard Work Schedule

Required: Associate's Degree and a minimum of two years' job-related experience or High School diploma with 5+ years' job-related experience would be acceptable in lieu of an Associate's Degree.

At least three years related experience (see education)

Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) is required and, if not, must be obtained within one year of hire.

Knowledge and experience in the field of credentialing. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Healthcare experience, medical terminology, computer skills and knowledge of accreditation standards.
