About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our team at The George Hotel in Lichfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in housekeeping and leadership to help oversee the smooth running of our hotel’s accommodation services.

You’ll support the Head Housekeeper in delivering consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel, managing a small team, maintaining standards, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

Hours: Full-Time 37.5 hours per week (Part-Time Applications Also Considered)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily supervision and coordination of the housekeeping team

• Ensure all rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained to brand standards

• Monitor inventory and ensure cleaning supplies are well-stocked

• Support recruitment, training, and ongoing development of housekeeping staff

• Liaise with other departments to ensure guest expectations are exceeded

Ideal Candidate

• Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar environment

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards

• Strong communication and team leadership skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting

• A flexible and hands-on approach to work

• Available to work weekends and holidays as required
