Graves delivers quality foodservice products to nursing homes, schools, restaurants, and other foodservice providers throughout the Midwest. POSITION OVERVIEW:

A forklift operator at Graves Foods is responsible for handling and moving food products within a warehouse or distribution center. This role requires strict adherence to safety and hygiene standards to ensure the quality and safety of food products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Selecting and handling product and palletizing it neatly on pallets
• Identifies items for selection and ensures that once the order is complete and accurate using voice picking system
• Operate a stand-up forklift, electric, double pallet jack safely and efficiently to transport product
• Maintaining safety and productivity benchmarks is a minimum requirement of the job
• Maintain workspace and equipment in an organized and neat fashion
• Regular, timely attendance as defined by the attendance policy, is a minimum requirement of the job.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
• Other tasks as assigned.
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred but not always required. On-the-job training is often provided.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift and other warehouse technical equipment preferred.
  • Previous order selecting experience preferred
  • Ability to meet deadlines and case-per-hour requirements
  • Ability to listen, understand and respond to instruction
  • Operate within Standard Operating Procedure and follow OSHA guidelines.
  • High-level of accuracy & attention to detail.
  • Voice picking experience preferred.
• Screening: Must pass a drug screen and background check.
  

SCHEDULE: Sunday- Thursday 4pm-finished + overtime as needed.

COMPENSATION: Starting at - $17.75/hour
