About This Position

Role Impact:

As part of an aseptic beverage manufacturing company, the EDI Specialist will be critical in the design, implementation, monitoring, and support of all EDI transactions across the organization’s beverage manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution operations. This role ensures seamless data exchange between internal systems (ERP, WMS, TMS) and external trading partners, including customers, distributors, and third-party warehouses.


Role Responsibilities

Manage and support daily inbound and outbound EDI transactions for customers, warehouses, and logistics partners, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Monitor EDI queues, acknowledgements , and error logs; troubleshoot and resolve EDI transaction issues (data mapping, translation, communications, and business rules) in a timely manner. Onboard new EDI trading partners and expand existing partner integrations. Collaborate with IT, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations Teams. Ensure compliance with customer, retailer, and distributor EDI requirements and SLAs, including chargeback prevention. Write and maintain scripts or small-scale applications.
Provide hands-on support for common beverage, retail, and warehousing transactions.Maintain partner documentation, specifications, compliance requirements, run books, and support procedures. Support system upgrades, EDI version changes, and enhancements. Participate in testing for new business processes, customers, or warehouse providers. Identify opportunities to streamline EDI processes and reduce manual intervention. Assist in defining data standards and best practices. Coordinate issue resolution with trading partners, EDI providers, and internal teams.
Support the broader IT Team with ERP enhancements, system connectivity, and internal application development to drive operational efficiency. Follow Food Safety Requirement/Standards as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.


Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management strongly preferred.

Experience & Skills

5 or more years of hands-on EDI support experience in manufacturing, CPG, food and beverage, or distribution.Strong working knowledge of ANSI X12 standards and EDI communications (AS2, SFTP, VAN).
Experience supporting warehouse-related EDI transactions and logistics workflows. Familiarity with ERP and WMS environments. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Great critical thinking skills and the ability to handle complex problems. Strong troubleshooting skills. Self-starter with the ability to work independently. Proficient in engaging and collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and alignment across the organization. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive business information.Customer-focused attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to work with equipment that contains electromagnetic components. Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at a time.
