Dermatology Assistant

Performs clinical and clerical tasks. Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider. Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients’ charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients and procedures. Assists with minor procedures such as shave biopsies, punch biopsies, electrodessication and curettage, and incision and drainage. Assists with surgical procedures including surgical excisions and Mohs Micrographic Surgery. Performs routine clerical functions based on knowledge of medical practice procedures and policies.
