About This Position

Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented HR/Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing and provide support across human resources functions. This role will ensure accurate and timely payroll, assist with benefits administration, and support HR operations including onboarding, compliance, and employee relations. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

Job Summary and Responsibilities; Payroll & Benefits

  • Process payroll accurately and timely ensuring employees are paid accurately based on each employee’s applicable and agreed upon pay rates, hours worked and deductions.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, deductions, garnishments, and direct deposits.
  • Acknowledge all payroll inquiries, employment verifications, garnishments/levies and unemployment claims within one (1) business day and resolve within required deadlines.
  • Prepare payroll reports for management and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Analyze payroll and benefits data to identify trends and recommend improvements.

Human Resources Support

  • Assist with employee benefits program including enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries. This includes accurate payroll deductions, annual open enrollment, mandated reporting, etc.
  • Assist with the Company’s HRIS updates, onboarding processes and/or technology solutions.
  • Maintain personnel files and HRIS records in compliance with legal requirements.
  • At the discretion of the HR/Payroll Director, support employee relations, including policy guidance, conflict resolution, and performance management processes.
  • Track and process employee leaves of absence (FMLA, CFRA, etc.).
  • Assist in implementing HR initiatives and employee engagement programs.
  • Track and process workers compensation claims within required deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned and required by the Company.
