Job Description
The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support for the shared HR functions of the church and school. This position helps ensure that HR processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with the mission and values of both organizations. The HR Coordinator assists with employee onboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, recruiting, documentation, and employee record management while maintaining strict confidentiality and data integrity.
The HR Coordinator is a position requiring a calling to use God-given talents to further the Kingdom of God. The HR Coordinator is expected to be a minister to the OCS community through actions, speech, attitude, and prayer, as they point students to Christ.
Essential Function:
· Serve as point of contact for HR-related inquiries from church and school employees.
· Maintain accurate and organized employee records, both electronic and physical, ensuring data separation and compliance with privacy standards.
· Assist in implementing and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and documentation across both church and school.
· Coordinate updates to employee handbooks, forms, and communication materials.
· Support recruiting activities, including posting positions, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates.
· Manage onboarding logistics for new hires (e.g., new hire paperwork, background clearances, orientation scheduling, system setup).
· Assist with offboarding tasks, including exit paperwork and retrieval of organization property.
· Coordinate with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate timekeeping and payroll processing.
· Assist employees with benefit enrollments, changes, and general questions.
· Maintain records related to benefit eligibility, enrollment, and status changes.
· Track required certifications, background checks, and training compliance for employees and volunteers.
· Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and organizational standards.
· Support audits and reporting related to HR compliance and benefits.
· Help coordinate employee recognition, engagement, and appreciation initiatives.
· Provide administrative support for investigations, performance documentation, and confidential personnel matters as directed by the HR Director.
· Assist with drafting and maintaining HR documentation, such as policies, forms, and communications.
· Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and enhance service delivery.

Requirements:Preferred Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
