The WSBA's mission is to serve the public and the members of the Bar, to ensure the integrity of the legal profession, and to champion justice.

About the position:

  • WSBA is seeking a Temporary Event & Facilities Coordinator (specific job duties required are listed below).
  • This position must work in-office daily, Monday - Friday from (at a minimum) 7:30am to 2:00pm PST (may need work longer hours at times).
  • Work Location: 1325 4th Ave, Seattle, WA 98101. *This position will be eligible for and Orca Card incentive.
  • Temporary Assignment Duration: 12/18/2024 - 1/31/2024
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service to vendors and event/meeting professional attendees.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and events both onsite and remote.
  • Monitor and respond to shared outlook inboxes
  • Event logistics - Set up conference rooms and keep them clean, and tear-down.
  • Taking, placing, and receiving catering orders for meetings
  • Billing support
  • Place work orders for facilities related issues
  • Vendor coordination - assist with facilities tasks around the office
  • Inventory management - ordering cleaning and office supplies
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education Required:
  • Associate Degree or equivalent post High School education.
Experience Required:
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience to perform the essential job duties.
  • Experience in meeting and event planning, coordination, submitting expenses, event set up and break down, etc.
Abilities/Skills Required:
  • Experience using Microsoft platform (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.) at an “Intermediate” to “Advanced” level.
  • Advanced level use of computers and standard office equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization; time sensitive matters and with deadlines.
  • Professional presence to work with individuals at all levels (Executive Leadership Team, Department Directors and Managers, Attorneys, Colleagues, Clients, and the Community);
  • Practice and understand policies and principles centered around DEI, Ethics, and Confidentiality.
  • Ability to move records and equipment up to 40lbs, with assistance.
Working Conditions: Employment with the Washington State Bar Association mandates that WSBA Staff must reside within the State of Washington at the time of hire, and during active employment status.The essential functions of the job that must be performed, with or without a reasonable accommodation: This position must be able to regularly work five days per week in an office type environment (remote or in office), possess the ability to primarily sit/stand and use a computer, and occasionally lift/push/pull items weighing up to 40 pounds (file boxes, paper, and other supplies and/or equipment). Must be able to operate a computer keyboard, and other standard office equipment (e.g., printer/scanner/fax/telephone). This position must be able to read, write, and speak with others in English.WSBA Benefits

The Washington State Bar Association operates under the delegated authority of the Washington Supreme Court and exercises a governmental function authorized by the Washington Supreme Court to license and regulate the state’s nearly 40,000 legal professionals, including lawyers, limited practice officers, and limited license legal technicians. The WSBA both regulates legal professionals under the authority of the Court and serves its members as a professional association — all without public funding. The WSBA administers the bar admission process, including the bar exam; provides record-keeping and licensing functions; administers the lawyer discipline system. and provides continuing legal education for legal professionals, in addition to numerous other educational and member-service activities.
