Position Overview:

Detroit Defense is seeking an experienced Systems Integration Specialist to support the installation, configuration, and integration of mission-critical technology systems for Department of Defense programs. This role is responsible for implementing networked systems, supporting platform integration activities, and collaborating with engineering and technical teams to ensure successful deployment of complex hardware and software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and integrate networked hardware and software systems supporting complex technical programs.

• Support platform installation activities by ensuring systems are configured in accordance with engineering and program requirements.

• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and program teams to implement new system capabilities and upgrades.

• Perform system installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting activities throughout the deployment lifecycle.

• Assist with operating system migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and enterprise technology deployments.

• Maintain accurate installation documentation, technical procedures, and configuration records.

• Support configuration management and ensure system changes are properly documented.

• Identify and resolve installation and integration issues while minimizing operational impacts.

• Participate in technical reviews, planning meetings, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

• Two (2) or more years of experience installing, integrating, or supporting networked systems within Department of Defense, government, or other complex technical environments.

• Experience implementing hardware and software solutions in enterprise or mission-critical environments.

• Ability to interpret technical documentation and installation procedures.

• Active DoD security clearance (level commensurate with program requirements).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting Navy submarine programs or similar undersea warfare systems

• Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Windows Server, Windows Client, Powershell, Dod Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), VMware, Ansible, Cisco networking hardware, Cisco virtual appliances, Network Security, Veeam, Aruba networking, Cloud computing platforms.

• Experience migrating Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and user data.

• Experience supporting Department of Defense or Navy technical programs.

• Experience with shipboard or field installation activities.

• Familiarity with configuration management and systems deployment processes.

• Experience supporting submarine-specific onboard installations.
