Location: Hermiston, OR
Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt (Salary)
Salary: $3,762.50 per month ($45,150.00 per year)
Schedule: Friday-Sunday 8AM-4PM and Monday 8AM-12PM
Mandatory 24/7 on-call starting Friday 4PM and ending Monday 8AM
Summary
Are you a compassionate leader who enjoys making a meaningful difference in the lives of others? We are seeking a dedicated Weekend Coordinator to oversee weekend operations for our residential programs serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this role, you'll supervise staff, ensure high-quality care, coordinate staffing, and provide hands-on support to help individuals live safe, fulfilling, and independent lives.
As a Weekend Coordinator, you will:
- Supervise and support Direct Support Professionals during weekend operations.
- Ensure safe, high-quality care and compliance with state licensing regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate weekend staffing and fill open shifts as needed to maintain required staffing levels.
- Assist with medication oversight, medical appointments, documentation, and emergency response.
- Monitor client health, safety, finances, and individualized support plans.
- Train, coach, and mentor staff while promoting accountability and professional growth.
- Conduct quality assurance checks within residential homes.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, healthcare providers, and management.
- Participate in on-call rotation from Friday evening through Monday morning.
- Assist with transportation, recreational activities, and direct support when needed.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be over the age of 18 years old
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
- Must have and maintain a driving record that is insurable by Horizon Project's Company Auto Insurance provider
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test (drug and alcohol free workplace)
- Must pass a pre-employment Oregon Criminal Background Check ODHS (renewed every 3 years)
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 6 months of supervisory experience managing 5 or more employees.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in fast-paced situations.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and on-call responsibilities.
- Intermediate computer skills (typing, email, web navigation, excel spreadsheets, Microsoft outlook, Microsoft Office Suite).
Physical Demands
Physical demands of the job include constantly (2/3 or more of the time) moving from location to location – such as when you are
providing training and providing direct supports to client as necessary.
Work Environment
In residential home; however, it will involve interaction with intellectually and/or developmentally disabled individuals which can
result in physical contact and/or verbal exchanges.
Other Requirements
This position requires that the employee have and maintain a valid driver license; be insurable by Horizon’s
auto insurance carrier; and, meet and maintain driver eligibility standards as outlined in Horizon Project’s Employee Handbook. Employees are required to attend staff meetings and any other training as assigned. Position must maintain a current CPR/First
Aid/BBP certification to be able to assist in a health-related emergency.
