About the role
- CBH Medical is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Recruiter 1 to support our growing team. This entry-level recruiting role will assist in sourcing, screening, and coordinating candidates across a variety of clinical and administrative positions. You'll work closely with our recruiting and HR team to help connect talented professionals with meaningful careers in correctional healthcare.
Growth Opportunity
- This position is designed as a launchpad for a long-term recruiting career within CBH Medical. You'll gain hands-on exposure to the full recruitment lifecycle (sourcing, screening, interviewing, onboarding coordination, and employer branding) while also developing an understanding of how HR, operations, and clinical staffing intersect. As you build your skills and demonstrate strengths, you'll have a clear path to advance into a senior recruiter or specialized HR role. We actively invest in employees who are eager to grow and take on increasing responsibility over time.
What you'll do
- Assist with sourcing candidates through job boards, Rippling, referrals, and other channels
- Review resumes and conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications and fit
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in Rippling, our applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Draft and post job listings across platforms, ensuring accuracy and brand consistency
- Support the onboarding process by collecting new hire documentation and coordinating pre-employment requirements
- Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive experience
- Partner with HR and department leaders to understand staffing needs and priorities
- Travel as needed; perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
- At least 1–2 years of experience in recruiting, HR support, customer service, or a related administrative role
- Strong computer literacy and comfort with learning new software and applicant tracking systems
- Experience with Rippling or similar HRIS platforms is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and candidate-friendly approach
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially when managing multiple open roles simultaneously
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
