Security Guard
Position Type: Full-time, Non-exempt, Hourly
Reports to: Facilities Maintenance Manager
Supervisory Responsibility: None
Location: Recruiter to input (i.e. Jacksonville, FL, Fort Worth, TX, etc.)

Summary Objective
The Security Guard is responsible for protecting company property, employees, visitors, and assets by monitoring facilities, controlling access, conducting patrols, and responding to security or safety concerns. This role helps maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment by enforcing site policies, observing unusual activity, documenting incidents, and providing courteous assistance to employees and guests.
Essential Functions
- Guards’ property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
- Patrols buildings and grounds of assigned facilities
- Examine doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.
- Preserves order and enforces security regulations.
- Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles; and apprehends or expels culprits.
- Inspect equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred.
- Watches for and reports conditions that could result in injury or loss due to fire hazards, leaking pipes, spills, faulty equipment, etc.
- Checks personnel for proper identification and clearance.
- Permits authorized people to enter property.
- Checks incoming and outgoing packages.
- Monitors CCTV to ensure the continued security and safety of the property both inside and outside of the facilities.
- Accompanies terminated personnel to guard against theft of company property and assure the property is left immediately.
- Sounds alarm or calls to police or fire department in case of fire, difficulty with unauthorized people, or medical emergencies.
- Records data, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment, for use by supervisory staff.
- May register at watch stations to record time of inspection trips.
- May regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic at entrance and in parking lots to maintain orderly flow.
- Prepares for ISO 9001 and other audits.

Work Location
This position will work out of our Fort Worth, TX facility (Bluemound Rd.). This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely. Or where the employee will physically work.
Work Environment
Most work is performed in an office environment. Expect to patrol outside which could expose you to heat and cold at times.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit but also walk frequently throughout their shift and will required to stand as well. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Wednesday - Sunday 10:00 p.m. - 6:30a.m.

Required Education and Experience.
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred Education and Experience
- Related experience or training
- Familiar with prevailing software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and CCTV video
Work Authorization
