We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Subcontracts department. This position specifically is located in Norfolk, Virginia. We are looking for a Subcontract Administrator. The work schedule is 7am 4pm.
Security Clearance: No Clearance
Solicit, negotiate, award and administer subcontracts for goods and services pursuant to requirements of prime contracts, Government and commercial ship repair programs, and internal requirements, including but not limited to the Outline of Authority to Act. Major efforts are on high-dollar and labor-intensive subcontracts.
Typically has a BA/BS in a related field, or AA/AS plus two (2) years’ directly related experience, or six (6) years’ directly related experience.

Reports to the Subcontract Manager. Maintains close internal contact with Engineering, Estimating, Receiving, Integrated Logistics Support, Production, and Quality Assurance. Maintains close external contact with Suppliers and requesting organizations to resolve semi-complex contractual and technical problems associated with unique and/or high-dollar procurement actions. This position has no direct reports.
Accountable to the Subcontract Manager for procurement of acceptable Subcontractor services at the best value while ensuring timely delivery in support of schedule. Results are related to the quality and timeliness of achieving project goals and ability to develop, implement, and/or adhere to processes that comply with contract requirements and maximize productiveness and throughput.
Desktop Computer, Corporate Credit Card
Must have reliable record of attendance and punctuality and be available for overtime as required. Must be able to physically transit all areas of the facility. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects or controls, and to talk and hear. Must have good eye/hand coordination. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
