This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a M&A Specialist (HR, Org Design & Talent Strategy) based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to shape people strategy during complex business transactions and organizational transformations.
You will support M&A activities by combining HR expertise, organizational design, workforce analytics, and talent planning capabilities.
Working within a global HR Center of Excellence, you will partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to assess organizational needs and enable successful integrations.
The position focuses on turning workforce data and business objectives into actionable recommendations that reduce risk and create long-term value.
You will contribute to culture assessments, talent strategies, and scalable HR processes that support business growth.

Accountabilities:

The M&A Specialist will support strategic initiatives across mergers and acquisitions, organizational development, and talent strategy by providing data-driven insights and designing practical HR solutions. The role requires close collaboration with HR leaders, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful transaction execution and organizational alignment.

  • Conduct HR due diligence activities for M&A transactions, including culture assessments, workforce analysis, and modeling of HR-related costs such as compensation, benefits, labor expenses, and transition requirements.
  • Develop organizational design recommendations, including structure modeling, role definition, span of control analysis, and workforce planning strategies.
  • Support talent planning processes such as succession planning, talent calibration, pipeline development, and workforce readiness assessments.
  • Analyze workforce data, organizational trends, and talent metrics to provide actionable recommendations to senior HR and business leaders.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business stakeholders to translate organizational recommendations into implementation plans with measurable outcomes.
  • Build scalable tools, frameworks, and processes that improve talent planning, organizational effectiveness, and M&A integration activities.
  • Collaborate across HR functions to support seamless integration of acquired businesses and alignment of organizational priorities.
  • Assist with change management initiatives related to organizational redesign, ensuring effective communication and employee support throughout transitions.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an analytical and strategic HR professional with experience supporting organizational transformation, workforce planning, and M&A-related initiatives. They should be comfortable working with senior stakeholders, managing complex projects, and translating business needs into effective people solutions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting HR M&A due diligence activities, including HR cost modeling and workforce analysis.
  • Strong understanding of organizational culture assessment, organizational design, and headcount planning.
  • Demonstrated analytical and project management skills with the ability to interpret workforce data and deliver recommendations to senior audiences.
  • Experience managing talent planning, succession processes, or similar strategic HR initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of organizational design methodologies, including structural modeling, role scoping, and workforce optimization.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to evaluate HR-related business impacts.
  • Experience with talent management platforms, workforce analytics tools, or HR systems such as Workday or SAP SuccessFactors is preferred.
  • Background supporting organizational transformation within a global, publicly traded, or complex enterprise environment is a plus.
  • Advanced degree in Organizational Development, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Ability to travel approximately 15–30% as needed.
