Director, Global Account Management - Healthcare

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Global Account Management - Healthcare based in United States.

This senior leadership role is responsible for growing and managing strategic relationships with major multinational healthcare and med-tech customers.
You will shape account strategies, identify expansion opportunities, and develop compelling value propositions aligned with customer priorities.
The position combines strategic account leadership with commercial and financial ownership, including negotiations and profitability management.
You will work across a complex matrixed organization, aligning internal stakeholders and global project teams around shared customer and business objectives.
The role requires strong healthcare industry knowledge, business-to-business sales expertise, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
You will use delivery, quality, customer satisfaction, inventory, forecasting, and financial metrics to guide decisions and improve account performance.
This is a high-impact opportunity to lead global customer relationships while contributing to sustainable growth in a fast-moving healthcare manufacturing environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and manage strategic growth relationships with major multinational healthcare and med-tech customers, with potential responsibility for additional focused engagements.
  • Analyze customers’ business strategies, future product plans, expansion activities, and evolving requirements to identify opportunities for mutually beneficial growth.
  • Develop and articulate compelling healthcare value propositions that support existing business and expansion opportunities.
  • Shape account propositions and solutions around customer requirements while aligning internal resources to deliver against strategic objectives.
  • Manage commercial and financial aspects of strategic accounts, including negotiations, profitability metrics, business performance, and internal financial considerations.
  • Monitor key account metrics across delivery, quality, customer satisfaction, financial performance, inventory, and forecasting.
  • Use financial and operational data to evaluate account performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support informed commercial decisions.
  • Work closely with global project teams and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment on customer priorities, deliverables, and strategic goals.
  • Navigate a complex matrixed organization and build robust service delivery teams capable of supporting large, strategically important accounts.
  • Develop strong executive and stakeholder relationships through persuasive presentations, strategic framing, and effective communication.
  • Support account growth while balancing customer requirements, operational performance, and overall business profitability.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or an equivalent field.
  • Relevant experience as a sales professional within the healthcare-focused electronic manufacturing services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing business-to-business relationships with large, strategic customers.
  • Strong strategic account management experience, with the ability to identify growth opportunities and build long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare and med-tech customer environments and their commercial requirements.
  • Demonstrated strategic framing, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong financial fluency, including the ability to understand and manage commercial negotiations and profitability metrics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a complex, matrixed organization and coordinate global teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong business judgment, relationship management skills, and ability to align customer needs with organizational capabilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within North America, with periodic international travel.
  • Ability to work remotely from within the United States or Canada according to the source position.
