Job Description
Primary Purpose of Job
Ensures the safety and security of critical areas and personnel. Directs guards on shift that inspect the grounds, premise/property. Controls and monitors access for the buildings and responsible for reporting fire and safety hazards that occur during the shift. Monitors cameras for all ASB properties and responds to alarms by contacting the appropriate Law Enforcement Agency.
Major Job Accountabilities
- Oversee the team that controls all aspects of authorized access to Campus building during shift (parking, badge and visitor access).
- Oversee all security equipment devices to ensure proper functionality.
- Conduct and supervise site protection duties (monitor surveillance systems, post/patrol assignments, and activities on premises) to ensure safety and security.
- Make decisions quickly and decisively to ensure situations are handled effectively and efficiently.
- Investigate and file incident reports.
- Keeps abreast of current and evolving security threats, best practices, new technology and trends, and any laws and regulations that may impact the Bank’s operations.
- May serve as the Bank’s liaison with local law enforcement and other outside parties.
Experience Required
Three (3) years of experience in the following:
- Security guard experience.
- Police officer experience is a plus.
Required Skills or Training
- Deep working knowledge of security principles, emergency preparedness operations, risk management, and fire and life safety systems.
- Must have some knowledge of the National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) and the Incident Command system (a plus).
- In-depth knowledge of access control systems.
- Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving security-related issues.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented to handle multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal, listening, and presentation communication skills.
- Must be flexible in a demanding work environment and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
- Able to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft applications.
- Able to work 7 days a week, 24 hours per day based on business need.
Professional Certifications, Licenses, And/or Registration Requirements
- Must hold a valid US driver’s license.
