Job Description

Regional Head of Partnerships

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Regional Head of Partnerships based in Canada.

This is a senior, high-ownership opportunity to drive player acquisition and commercial growth across an assigned market through strategic partnerships.
You will own the regional partnerships strategy and P&L, deciding where investment should go across affiliates, creators, ambassadors, communities, and sponsorships.
The role combines hands-on business development with commercial leadership, requiring you to personally build the most important partnerships while shaping the broader regional ecosystem.
You will be accountable for measurable outcomes including signups, FTDs, NGR, partner costs, and overall return on investment.
As the regional partnership portfolio grows, you will build and lead a team responsible for scaling the partner network and maintaining high performance standards.
You will also act as a key source of market intelligence, advising central teams on competitors, customer behaviour, and regional growth opportunities.
This is an ideal role for a commercially driven iGaming leader who understands local market dynamics and knows how to turn partnerships into sustainable player value.

Accountabilities
  • Define and own the regional partnerships strategy, determining channel mix, partner priorities, investment levels, and growth opportunities across affiliates, content creators, streamers, ambassadors, communities, and sponsorships.
  • Own and manage the regional partnerships P&L, including partner-generated NGR, associated costs, budgets, and allocation decisions across channels and individual deals.
  • Drive measurable growth in new player acquisition, first-time deposits (FTDs), and net gaming revenue (NGR) through a commercially disciplined regional partnership portfolio.
  • Personally source, negotiate, and close high-value strategic partnerships, including affiliate agreements based on CPA, revenue share, and hybrid structures.
  • Develop and manage relationships with streamers, content creators, influencers, ambassadors, and other high-impact partners whose audiences can generate meaningful player acquisition.
  • Evaluate and develop event sponsorship opportunities, live poker circuits, tours, and online community activations based on their ability to deliver measurable commercial returns.
  • Actively manage the regional partner book, monitoring partner performance, content quality, traffic quality, cohort quality, and overall commercial contribution.
  • Renegotiate, optimise, or terminate partnerships that fail to meet agreed performance and profitability expectations.
  • Provide insights on regional market dynamics, competitor activity, emerging trends, and acquisition opportunities to inform broader business strategy.
  • Build and develop the regional partnerships organisation as the portfolio scales, including hiring and managing Ambassador and Content Creator Managers.
  • Establish clear standards, processes, and performance expectations for partner management across the regional team.
  • Balance short-term acquisition opportunities with sustainable player value, ensuring partnership decisions are supported by clear commercial cases.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of growing an iGaming or online poker player base through partnerships and affiliation, with measurable results demonstrated through NGR rather than volume alone.
  • Strong experience developing and managing content-focused partnerships, including creators, streamers, influencers, ambassadors, or relevant online communities.
  • Deep knowledge of the target regional market, including its poker or iGaming ecosystem, player behaviour, competitive landscape, and key acquisition channels.
  • Native or fluent command of the region's primary language(s), combined with fluent English.
  • Demonstrated experience owning a P&L, budget, or significant commercial portfolio with genuine accountability for financial outcomes.
  • Strong experience structuring and negotiating CPA, revenue share, fixed-fee, and hybrid partnership agreements.
  • Excellent commercial judgment, with the ability to assess partner economics, identify scalable opportunities, and make difficult investment decisions.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the credibility to establish partnerships with high-value affiliates, creators, communities, and ambassadors.
  • Experience building and managing teams, or demonstrated readiness to scale and lead a regional partnerships function as business volume increases.
  • Highly analytical and results-oriented, with the ability to connect partnership activity to acquisition, FTD, NGR, and profitability metrics.
  • Comfortable operating in a challenger-brand environment, with the creativity and adaptability to develop new approaches rather than simply replicating established market leaders.
  • Strong ownership mindset and willingness to combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • Fully remote working arrangement with flexible working hours.
  • Opportunity to work at the intersection of online poker, iGaming, blockchain technology, and digital partnerships.
  • High level of autonomy and ownership over regional strategy, budget, partnerships, and commercial performance.
  • Opportunity to build and lead a regional partnerships team as the business scales.
  • Collaborative and inclusive international team culture.
  • Professional development opportunities and potential for significant career growth.
  • Opportunity to shape the market strategy and growth trajectory of a rapidly evolving business.
  • Exposure to diverse partnership channels, including affiliates, creators, ambassadors, communities, and live events.
